Electro-Miniatures’ is a project base manufacturer and excels at program management. We emphasize the basics of quality and reliability, delivery and communication during both the design and production phases of a slip ring component program. This excellence is a product of Electro-Miniatures’ organization design and management philosophy.
Electro-Miniatures is a third generation, family owned business and is now proud to also be a Women Owned Small Business! Alison and her husband, Andrew, succeeded Alison’s parents as the owners and operators of EMC after over 40 years of thriving business. Alison and Andrew have followed closely in their footsteps, each bringing a little something extra to the table.
Alison, as she always thought she might, ended up in her Dad’s chair, tasked with the role of President and overseeing all day to day operations for the company. Alison grew up at EMC and had the opportunity to gain experience in every department. This has helped her to ensure the company’s success in striving for efficiency, quality, security, and keeping EMC current in technology. Alison is also always making sure everyone is smiling, even on Mondays!
Andrew’s Navy background has assisted him in easily transitioning to become EMC’s General Manager. Since joining EMC, he has been able to apply the discipline, leadership skills and attention to detail which he learned while serving as a U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver for over seven years to EMC’s production floor in order to continue the tradition of excellence inherited from his predecessor.
Electro-Miniatures’ Director of Programs position reports directly to the President and is responsible for achieving all contractual commitments, including product delivery and technical reports. This position is the single point of contact for customers during a contract. The current Director of Programs, Ken McCue, has a strong background in engineering and quality. He has been in the slip ring industry for over 29 years. The Director of Programs is also responsible for the company’s ITAR export compliance and was appointed as EMC’s Facility Security Officer (FSO). The combination of responsibility for customer deliverables and procedural compliance plus direct and frequent access to executive management make this position effective in focusing the organization on customer satisfaction.
Because EMC is small and privately held, there is a spirit of personal accountability that drives us to excellence, which is more powerful than the bottom line. It is a motivation that inspires us to higher levels of performance and integrity than mere compliance would require.
